Introducing a new twist on our popular Featherweight design. This saddle still features the short split skirts but has a new racier look and feel with the roughout hard seat and pencil roll cantle. This a a full dark chocolate roughout dressed up with just a little bit of white buckstitch. The antique bright cut conchos give this saddle a little bit of extra class.
Based on the Josey Lightspeed, the Featherweight Contender has ultra-short skirts and an all-leather design that weighs 24 lbs. It has the same great Josey Ultimate tree with the 5" cantle for a super-secure run. Add in the roughout and suede seat for that extra grip and, you are ready to compete at your highest level! Due to the lighter weight in the rear skirts the Featherweight has been equipped with the ability to rig with true center fire rigging for a more secure fit.
