Josey Million Dollar SS Hackamore
B-2000-1000
7" Cheeks
You asked and we heard you! Based on the top selling Martha Josey Million Combination bit, we have developed the ultimate hackamore for those horses who are resistant to having a bit in their mouth during a run. The nose band is attached via a loop and secure knot so you never have to worry about it pulling loose. This is our short shank option with a 7" shank for the rider who needs a little more leverage. Also available in a long shank option.
This hackamore is a practical option for horses that need improved bend and responsiveness without introducing more pressure in the mouth. It’s especially useful for horses with sensitive mouths, those coming back from dental issues, or as part of a program to reinforce body control outside of a bit.
The medium-plus leverage provides enough control for horses that require more than a side pull, while still allowing the rider to stay measured with their hands. The swivel shanks help promote lateral flexion, making it easier to shape the horse and encourage a softer, more responsive feel through the body.
A floating rope nose reduces the risk of rubbing or galling and allows for more consistent pressure distribution, which can help keep the horse comfortable and willing during longer sessions. This setup works well for slow work, tuning, and controlled speed work where the goal is to improve responsiveness and body position without overfacing the horse.
